Moodle Requirements

Joule supports Linux, Windows (including Vista and 7), Solaris, and Mac OS X operating systems. The only requirement for end-users to interact with joule is a cookie-enabled Web browser with an Internet connection. joule supports the use of major Web browsers, including:

  • Internet Explorer (v7 or higher)
  • Mozilla Firefox (all versions)
  • Safari (v3 or higher)
  • Chrome (v4 or higher)

End-users may also want to enable JavaScript and download Flash for proper display of instructor-created content used within joule. Depending on the type of content an instructor uses, a user may also need to download a particular type of media player – otherwise, no additional software or utilities are required to interact fully with joule.
