National Student Employment Week

Acknowledge your student employees during National Student Employment Week - second full week of April.  Here are a few ideas:

  • Decorate your office doors or bulletin boards with signs expressing appreciation to your student employees (list their names).
  • Post photos of your employees with term of service and/or other unique qualities.
  • Write personal thank-you notes or give certificates of appreciation.
  • Take your student employee(s) to lunch in the Dining Hall or their favorite restaurant.
  • Have a pizza party, pot-luck, sub sandwich party, or do-it-yourself sundae bar in your office.  Have a cake break.
  • Take time to say, “Thanks for all you do!”
  • Write a letter to the editor of the Technocrat to thank your student employees and highlight the work they do in your department.
  • Give a small gift or certificate as a token of your appreciation.
  • Have the department head or other official send them a thank you letter.
