McKenna Savage was born and raised in Butte, Montana and decided to attend Montana Tech to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering. She enjoys being around her friends and family, binge watching the newest shows on Netflix, and traveling to new places. Being a part of student government, McKenna loves to hear from all students and bringing new experiences to campus. She is open to hearing from students and being able to find solutions to what students want on campus. As the treasurer, McKenna is eager to make a difference on Montana Tech’s campus!

Jaden is a Montana native who graduated from Butte High School. She is currently a sophomore pursuing a Civil Engineering degree with a minor in Occupational Safety and Health. She enjoys sports, dancing, hanging out with her friends, and being creative. She is really happy to be at Montana Tech, and enjoys all of the opportunities and experiences the campus has to offer. As a sophomore senator, Jaden is excited to continue making a difference on campus with ASMT!

Isaac Gilfeather received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Montana Technological University in spring 2020. Currently working on towards a Ph.D. in Material Science, his research interests include nanomaterials, multiphysics modeling, and control systems. When he is not working in the laboratory, he enjoys video games, chess, and watching movies. As an ASMT senator, he is passionate about creating an environment of acceptance and culture of academic excellence at Montana Tech.

Kylie Godfrey is an Idaho native and she came to Montana Tech because she loves the unique community. Her nickname is smiley Kylie because she loves to spread positivity and make new friends. She loves to be an active part of the campus life and enjoys working towards making Montana Tech a better community for all students.

Kayla is originally from San Jose, California and moved to Butte, Montana two years ago to pursue her degree in Geological Engineering. She is a part of many groups on campus including being Resident Assistant Director for residence life and treasurer for Engineers Without Borders. In her little amount of free time, she enjoys laughing and creating memories with her friends, listening to music, or reading a book. Kayla joined the ASMT Senate to be an advocate for the whole campus, rather than just in the halls. Her goal is to listen, implement, and help improve Tech not only for now, but for the future generations to come!

Nicholai Khomenko was born and raised in Missoula, Montana. He lived abroad for one year in
Chisinau, Moldova and came to Montana Tech to study civil engineering due to the reputation that Montana Tech has and the affordability. He enjoys playing sports such as tennis in the summer and skiing in the winter, reading, and playing the accordion. He also enjoys more extreme sports such as whitewater kayaking and Mountain biking. Being a senator means that you are a representative for your peers, you are someone who listens to the suggestions of others, and is someone who shows dedication, punctuality, and resilience.

Andrea Gonzalez McCord is a non-traditional student who transferred to Tech after a decade-long hiatus from college. They enjoy video games, crafting, and logic puzzles. As a member of the ASMT Senate, they are enjoying being an integral part of the ongoing mission to improve campus life for all students.
Gage McFarland is a first-year sophomore here at Tech for metallurgical engineering. They chose Montana Tech because of the wonderful metallurgy program here, which would be the closest to their hometown. They enjoy rocks and minerals which guided them into metallurgy. They also enjoy spending time with friends, making music, and playing D&D. Being a senator to Gage is being someone for others to come to in need, to help improve campus life, as well as to take part in decision-making for decisions that benefit students.

Brynlee Nielsen grew up in Butte Montana and graduated from Butte High school. She aspires to help heal people by being a surgical nurse. Some of her hobbies include dancing, singing her heart out in the car, binge watch Netflix, and take many adventures. She grew up on Tech’s campus from either going to the sporting events or different camps going on, so it was a no brained when she chose Montana Tech. By being an ASMT senator, she holds the power to make a change and hear what the students really want on campus. She is open to all discussions and hopes to make a difference at Montana Tech.

Rianna O’Connell was born in Montana and graduated from Butte High School. She was not entirely sure what she wanted to do until her tour at Montana Tech. Rianna is pursuing an Applied Health and Safety Science degree with the intention of furthering her education and becoming a physical therapist. Her hobbies include hanging out with friends and family and helping coach a girl’s hockey team. She enjoys the environment on campus and would like to build on it. As an ASMT senator, she loves hearing opinions from peers about what they would like to see improved.

Caleb Ygnatowiz is a Montana Veteran of the U.S Army and graduated with a G.E.D. After working a number of years in the private sector, he decided to further his education with an Associate of Science degree emphasizing on Geological Engineering. Caleb’s hobbies include guitar playing, learning, video games, and spending time with family and friends. Caleb joined ASMT to represent students and learn about student government. As an ASMT Senator, Caleb hopes to provide a lasting Food Pantry for students in need.
