One of the best ways to understand if Tech is the right fit for you is to visit campus and engage with the students, faculty, and staff who make up the Montana Tech community.

There are many ways for you to experience Montana Tech, once you have decided which option is best for you, register on-line or call your Recruitment Specialist to sign up!

Graduate Students

We welcome visits from prospective graduate students. Please contact us, preferably at least 2 weeks in advance, with your degree interests and preferred date, so that we can arrange a private visit agenda with opportunities to meet with faculty and graduate students who share your interests. If you are interested in attending graduate school and would like to visit our campus, please contact the Montana Tech Graduate School.

Option 1. Daily Campus Visits

Montana Tech hosts prospective students on campus every weekday during the academic year, except holidays and event days. You can visit:

Monday - Friday from 10:00 am - 2:30 pm.

During your visit, you will meet with an admissions counselor and take a tour of campus with a current student.

When you register for your visit below, you can also request to:

  • Meet with a financial aid adviser
  • Meet with a faculty member to discuss your academic area of interest**
  • Tour residence halls in detail
  • Discuss Veteran Benefits
  • Have your transcript evaluated

Based on your interests, the day follows this general schedule:

  • 10:00am - Check in!
  • 10:15am - Admissions Overview
  • 11:00am - Campus Tour
  • 12:00pm - Break or Check Out
  • 1:00pm - Optional Faculty Meeting
  • 1:30pm - Optional Residence Hall Tour
  • 2:00pm - Optional Financial Aid meeting
  • 2:30pm - Break or Check Out

To provide you with the best experience possible, we ask that you give us at least 5 days’ notice to arrange your visit. If you schedule with less than 5 days’ notice, we may not be able to arrange a faculty meeting or any additional meetings to personalize your visit.

**Please note that there are certain times during the year (i.e. finals week, summer, etc.) when faculty availability will be very limited and you may not be able to speak with a professor during your visit.

Option 2. Tech Days

Tech Days are Montana Tech’s campus preview events for prospective students and their families. They are a unique opportunity to experience life at Montana Tech and to see if we are the right place for you to achieve your personal and academic goals.

Tech Days let you explore your academic area of interest, take part in interactive classroom sessions, tour campus, and connect with faculty and students. Come discover everything that awaits at Montana Tech!
