Welcome!

The Testing Center provides testing services to support the academic and professional goals of students and visitors. Our center houses several private testing rooms and a computer lab. Our typical hours of operaton are Monday - Friday from 9am - 5pm, unless alternative arrangements are made ahead of time with a proctor. All exams must be completed by 5pm. Hours may vary during designated breaks and holidays. We are located in the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) within the Student Success Center (SSC) building.  

Rules & Procedures

Electronic devices are not permitted unless permission is given by the proctor or instructor. Montana Tech has a zero-tolerance policy for academic dishonesty, and all testers must follow our Code of Conduct. Testers will be asked to stow all of their personal belongings and only bring permitted materials into the testing area.

No guests or children are allowed. Parents are encouraged to explore our unique campus while their student tests, and testers may not leave their children unattended. Exceptions to this rule include security personnel, personal care attendants, and parole officers.

Fee Payment & Parking

There is a one-time $25 testing fee for placement and distance exams. Visitor parking passes are required during the Fall and Spring semesters. Parking is available in the lot across the street next to the Library. Parking passes and payments must go through our Business Office.
