Careers & Placement
Strong science skills are in demand nationwide and are well positioned to move into graduate or professional schools. Graduates of the General Science degree can seek opportunities in many areas of scientific research or applied science. Career opportunities are available in research, medical, chemical and laboratory facilities as well as many other technical areas. Graduates interested in teaching can also pursue a Secondary Education Certification while completing their General Science degree.
The Career Services Office at Montana Tech surveys all graduates each year. The purpose of the survey is to provide employment information and facilitate the career decisions for prospective and current students, in accordance with Sections 485 and 486 of the Title IV Higher Education Reauthorization Amendments of 1986. The Graduate Survey is published annually. 2011 Graduate Surveys are pending.
